Blast hit PetroChina Fushun's major FCC unit
Almaty. January 19. Kazakhstan Today - PetroChina's Fushun refinery was hit by a blast on Wednesday, the agency reports.
A 3.5-million-tonne per year (70,000 barrel-per-day) fluid catalytic cracker at PetroChina's (0857.HK) Fushun refinery in northeast China was hit by an explosion on Wednesday morning, a source close to the plant told Reuters.
The affected No.2 plant of Fushun refinery in Liaoning province has a crude refining capacity of 200,000 bpd, the source said, without giving further details.
The refinery has a total refining capacity of about 230,000 bpd. The catalytic cracking unit makes mostly gasoline.
