Almaty. February 11. Kazakhstan Today - A 30-year-old assistant boat captain was executed in Dubai for murder and rape of a four-year-old boy, Kazakhstan Today reports.
Rashid Rabee Al Rashdi, 30, an assistant boat captain, who had been found guilty of premeditated murder of a school boy on Eid Al Adha in 2009, was executed by a firing squad on Thursday morning, The Gulf Today reported.
Rashid had been convicted of murder of four-year-old Pakistani boy Moosa Mukhtiar Ahmed after he had raped him at a mosque in Dubai.
The execution was carried out at Al Ruwayah Yard in the attendance of Essam Al Humaidan, Attorney General of Dubai and Ahmed Al Haddad, Director of Iftaa Department.
Rashid asked for mercy and forgiveness from Allah and from the family of the child, who appeared before the yard. He then pronounced the Shehadah before being shot by firing squad.
